A class for beginners is included at the Off-Road track only. For On-Road beginners, please refer to the bottom of this page.

At TMORC we call this class Sportsman. This class is open for new members and visitors, regardless of age, that wish to compete.

Vehicle Type

Cars must be 1/10 scale, 2 or 4 wheel drive, a body must be attached to the chassis (any type of body may be used) ,and a 540 type stock motor or similar will be preferably used. Race time duration six (6) minutes.

Off-Road

Traxxas Bandit, Kyosho Outrage, Associated RC10B3 or RC10T3, Losi XXX or XXXT, Tamiya Stadium Blitzer, Traxxas Rustler, Kyosho Outrage ST and Duratrax Evader

On-Road

Tamiya TL01, TF03, TRF03, Smartech and Colt.

Motors

Legal Motors for this class are Johnson 540 (Grey Can, Grey Endbell), Tamiya Chrome Can 540, only. Off-Road Trucks are allowed to run a rebuildable stock motor, 2 wheel drive stock. For more information, please refer to the Off-Road/On-Road Classes page.

On-Road Beginners

On-Road beginners should probably look at the mini-class or stock tourer to start with. However, if there are enough new drivers we will start an On-Road Sportsman's class.
